Pimienta performs a spicy blend of Latin jazz that packs a rhythmic punch! The Ottawa-based quartet digs deep into this repertoire, and adding their own flavour to Cuban, Brazilian, and Latin classics by artists such as Chucho Valdez, Buena Vista Social Club, Joe Arroyo, Os Cobras, Stan Getz, and more. Pimienta includes seasoned players Mike Tremblay (saxophone and flute), Karen Rauh (piano), Mark Fraser (bass), and Allyson Rogers (drums). The group's high-energy repertoire and innovative arrangements have been winning Pimienta rave reviews and getting audiences out of their seats. Pimienta performs regularly at local festivals and jazz venues in the region, including the Ottawa Jazz Festival, Marvest/CityFolk Festival, Montgomery Scotch Lounge, and Café Earle.

Pimienta also play a variety of private events and can adapt to suit your requirements, whether you need a band to get people up and dancing or to hang back and create a relaxed atmosphere.
Pimienta propose un mélange épicé de jazz latin qui a du punch ! Le quatuor d'Ottawa plonge dans ce répertoire et ajoute sa propre marque aux classiques cubains, brésiliens et latins d'artistes tels que Chucho Valdez, Buena Vista Social Club, Joe Arroyo, Os Cobras, Stan Getz, et bien d'autres. Pimienta est composé des musiciens chevronnés Mike Tremblay (saxophone, flûte), Karen Rauh (piano), Mark Fraser (basse) et Allyson Rogers (batterie). Le répertoire énergique et les arrangements novateurs du group ont remporté des critiques élogieuses et fait danser le public. Pimienta se produit régulièrement dans les festivals locaux et les salles de jazz de la région, notamment au Festival de jazz d'Ottawa, au Marvest/CityFolk Festival, au Montgomery Scotch Lounge et au Café Earle.
